Verbavia is a guided daily language course, from absolute beginner to mastery. The website teaches eight languages, and more are in development. If something is not working, or you want to ask about your account, this page is how to reach us.
Email support@verbavia.com. We read every message. Please say which device you are using (Android, iPhone or the website) and what course you are studying — it is usually the fastest route to an answer.
Each course's recordings download separately, once, the first time you pick that course, and an app update can clear them. Open Settings → Voice & audio: it tells you whether the recordings are on your device and offers to fetch them, and separately whether your phone has a voice for that language.
Some courses are deliberately quiet in places. Shanghainese is never read by your phone's own voice, because the only voice a phone has for those characters is a Mandarin one — a different language, read confidently. Silence is the honest answer, so you hear the real recordings or nothing.
Open Settings → Lesson length. Complete is the full course, Balanced spreads each grammar point over two lessons, and Essentials over three. You are not skipping anything on the shorter settings — you cover the same syllabus more gradually. You can change it whenever you like.
No. Verbavia works fully without one, and without a network connection. An account exists so your deck, streak and progress follow you between your phone and the website. If you play without one, everything lives on that device only.
Progress is saved on your device as you go and, if you have an account, synced when there is a connection. If a number looks wrong after switching devices, sign out and back in on the device showing the wrong figure — that pulls a fresh copy of your account. If it is still wrong, email us and say what you expected to see.
You can delete your account from inside the app, or from verbavia.com/delete-account. It removes your decks, streaks, review schedules and account record. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and for how long.
